Dade County Florida, 1986. 8 Federal Agents engage in a firefight with two serial bank robbers after a forced vehicle collision. After sustaining multiple gunshot wounds including a round to a lung, one suspect continued to engage police with semi-automatic rifle and handgun fire, killing 2 and seriously wounding 5 others before being shot and killed by a seriously wounded agent. Later known as the 1986 Miami Shootout, it would become a catalyst for upgrading firepower deployed by federal agents as well as improved felony stop procedures.
